Reimagined by Chalked, this home is now a sanctuary of sophistication overlooking the harbour. A statement mirror greets you, floating like a full moon against a cream and gold wall. A mirror wall opposite reflects and softens the natural light from beyond, lighting up the cosy entrance hall. The public spaces are a symphony of dark cocoa, cream, and marble. While the bank of windows offers an unobstructed view of the harbour, its adjacent wall is now a fully extended entertainment unit. The TV and electrical appliances are hidden within a black marble exterior, while extending away to the left and right are built in cabinets for added storage. The dining area is a delectable concoction of cream and wood. Here, stunning wood-coloured veneer panelling envelopes the walls and anchors the entire space, creating a sense of serenity, while a pendant light casts a warm glow over the dining table. The bedrooms and study exude serenity and relaxation, a private sanctuary awash in a warm palette of burnt umber and ivory. Gold accents add some shine, and furnishings are kept to a tasteful minimum

The star of the room, however, is the custom-designed bar counter built directly into the living room pillar. The bar counter, mounted on a pivot, can effortlessly swivel between the bookcase and the living room, catering to both privacy and openness depending on the occasion. The children’s room is a delightful oasis of whimsy, offering a stark contrast to the dark tones found in the rest of the unit. Sunlight streams in through the blinds, a modern alternative to fabric curtains, lifting the mood of the room. Located next to the lush Clementi Forest, Pinetree Hill is home to lovers of nature and beauty. Inspired by the verdant tree tops and mossy hills surrounding Pinetree Hill, our designs are crafted to invite the serenity of nature into the home, a perfect harmony of nature and modern sensibilities. To create this urban jungle atmosphere, an earth-coloured palette washes over the entire house. A double-volume ceiling soars above the living room, and we harnessed this height by maximizing details. Mirror panels at the top of the ceiling accentuate its loftiness, and a bubble-like chandelier instantly catches the eye. The bedrooms are lush and dressed in the same earthy tones as the rest of the house. Rattan and wood veneer are paired with velvety sheets and embroidered pillowcases to create a sanctuary of rest. The kid’s room is taken one step further and laid out like a fantasy jungle camp. A customised tent-like bed is placed facing the forest view from the windows and a jungle-themed wallpaper adds to the fantasy. An apothecary-like tea-making room sits in the center of this home. A full length countertop and floating shelves provide ample space for this home-based tea entrepreneur to practice her craft.
